LOVE

Wow blogging two days in a row. Did get the playroom done yesterday. Today's naptime task, watching two one year olds, and hopefully eventually getting them asleep too.

I have a new understanding of the story of the prodigical son. Last night at the mall, Hannah decided to take off on us. As a Mother's panic sets in, I am yelling through the store for her. A Man points out a little girl coming up the isle. I drop to my knees arms open wide to catch her in an embrace of love and relief, my child who once is lost was found. I could have thrown a party.

Is it with this urgency God pulls at our heart when we wander from His ways, calling to us to return to Him? To look to Him for protection, safety, love, all our needs. Is it with this love He embraces us when we come running back to His care?

I personally never thought I had such a capacity to love, that was one of my biggest fears as a parent, was how wounded, tarnished and broken my ability to love was. Over the years of being in a marriage where I have received unconditional love and a safe secure environment for the first time in my life healing continues The verse "love heals all" is really a verse we as Christians should embrace more. Imagine how much bigger God's love is as our heavenly parent. A perfect love, untarnished, Wow.

I thank God for the safe return of my child and for another lesson for His Child.

Celebrate Family

Two more weeks until our holidays, it will be a nice break. I so looking forward to spending lots of time together as a family. Wednesday July 6 we go up to my parent for a few days then Saturday we head up to our church camp. The big task for this weekend is too clean out the trailer. Then the fun begins packing for a family of five. God has blessed me so greatly with a wonderful family.

Monday is Sarah's first birthday, it is hard to believe, what a precious child she is, I look forward to the coming year as we see more and more of the child God made her to be. With each of my children I think we couldn't get a happier child, yet they all seem to walk in joy. It will be great to be able to celebrate with her the great gift God gave us in her.

Father's day on Sunday, once again a hard day coming, One in which I would like to embrace today and the wonderful Father my children have and celebrate with them. Yet knowing the pain that is triggered from the past on this day. Praying the Lord will help me through this day once again.

Anyway my naptime chore today is suppose to be tidying up the toys, I'm going to put half of them downstairs till fall when we are in the house more. That way the five minutes they are in the house they won't be able to make as big of a mess and in the fall, all of a sudden they will have a bunch of new toys, I plan on doing some garage saling for a few new things to hide for those long winter days too.

So better go, before I have some help, five children, not.

Hey Joyska

Thank you for commenting even when I don't get to the blogging. It is always good to hear from a good friend. I can hardly wait until September to see you again. The other night in one of my wakeful times, I started dreaming whether God would ever bring us together to do children's ministry. Who knows eh, it is in His hand but it would be very cool.

Well since still at this point you are pretty much my only commenter I figured I could blog to you today. We are all doing well the children growing up much too fast. They are so adorable. Isaac is just a little sponge, absorbing everything he can get. We have been talking a lot about God's creation since that is where we spend a lot of time these days. Digging up worms has been a favorite, he found it quite amazing that only God can make living things and how God even gave a purpose for the little worm in His Creation.

Also the other day he came to me and said, Mommy I just said "Oh my Gosh" I reminded him that was not something we said at our house. Then explained to him how someone made up that word that didn't want to show respect to God or love Him, they just changed the last two letters. And that also in the Bible God tells us not to take His name in vain, which is except to bring honor to Him. His response was Oh but Mommy I love God, so I won't say it again and ran off to play.

Oh how I need to pray daily for guidance as I disciple/discipline these little ones to walk in the ways of the Lord. These little foundational blocks I pray for a life of growth with Him.
