Three Days Left
Well here I sit again to blog thou I have a dozen other things I should be doing once again my baby daughter wants to be held. Three days until Christmas and my house is a disaster zone, gifts need wrapping, Jesus Birthday cake needs to be made, I saw this cool idea to decorate a cake with the mini candy canes around the out side thought that would make a great birthday cake for Jesus if we read the candycane story before hand; make a cherry cheese cake and this afternoon when the children wake up I hope to make sugar cookies with them. If this little one cooperates. Why don't we mother's have four arms. Thankfully Friday my cleaning lady is coming and Larry is home so hopefully if he takes the children. The house will be in order for Christmas. Anyway better get the cookie dough made, I will have to put Sarah in the sling, she is perfectly content here snuggling. I think she has a message for you all too,she is trying to reach the keyboard "././. jhhj gftji t thgcbhhdffcsr bbkjuujju h" types SarahAdvent, Wait for Christ Birthday!
This the season to be joyous. Things are busy here, during this advent time, last night we went to the Christian schools Christmas concert. Tomorrow night having a cookie exchange party here. This weekend need to hopefully finish the Christmas shopping. And what have we been telling the Children Christmas was about again. Boy it not only them who need the reminder. Isaac is really absorbing things this Christmas, at the concert he was just a sponge, also during our family devotions. He is a real thinker, wanting to figure out everything. Both Hannah and Isaac are absorbed in our family devotion routine, I made a advent wreath with candles, Isaac can hardly wait until we light the big candle for Christmas. When we sing Hannah loves doing the actions to Away in a Manger, a song we must sing every night. Yesterday I picked up the Donut man's Christmas, Isaac is really into the Donut man right now, They both really enjoyed it and once again I could see the little gears a turning in Isaacs head. I looking forward to hearing all his thoughts of this Christmas Time, hopefully the Christ in Christmas shines through all our busyness.Children, Christmas
Yes I am still here, just been extra busy caring for sick children and preparing for Christmas. Today I had to remind myself what was more important a tidy home our happy, secure children so the house has been left as a sit here holding my little Sarah and blog. Not sure what is bother her but she has had two restless nights and seems to feel best snuggled in Mommy's arms. She is so adorable. (as she spits up all over me, better go) Please pray they will be all feel better soon so they can enjoy this Christmas season.24 days to Christmas
December already, Christmas is approaching. I am trying hard to fill my children's surrounding with the true meaning of Christmas and combat the secular greed agenda. We went to Grand Rapids MI this past week end and I picked up an advent devotional for the family and a wooden advent calendar. I really like the devotional, it uses the advent candles and manger scene as visuals for the children and has lots of family activities. It was good to see Bob and Bernie again, I stayed with them during my College years. Bernie is combating cancer again. I am so thankful I could see her again and share the joy of my family with her.
Well my goal for this month is trying to prioritize and let go that which I don't get too instead of getting stressed or hard on myself.
